AdvaMat s.r.o.

We help manufacturing companies improve efficiency with innovative PVD coatings.

At AdvaMat, we specialize in the development and application of PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coatings. Our mission is to deliver not only significant cost savings to manufacturers, but also to optimize their production processes through unique solutions based on the latest scientific knowledge. We provide coatings that define new standards in durability, performance, wear and corrosion resistance—all with minimal environmental impact.

Science that works

AdvaMat s.r.o. was founded at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). Our story began in 2009 with a research group led by Prof. Tomáš Polcar, which in 2014 became a company focused on PVD and DLC technologies. Today, we help companies improve production efficiency, extend tool lifetime, and meet demanding requirements for functional surfaces. We work closely with CTU and focus on sustainable, high-performance solutions with international reach.

AdvaMat s.r.o. is implementing the project Verified Technology – Robotic Polishing of Parameterizable Surfaces and Innovative PVD Coatings for Railway Gear Couplings (registration no. CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000763). The aim of the project is to develop automated polishing of gears using a collaborative robot, along with innovative PVD coatings to reduce friction and protect these gears, primarily for use in gear couplings.
