Sellier & Bellot<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A traditional Czech ammunition manufacturer replaced electroplated chrome on its forming tools with a new PVD coating developed by AdvaMat. This coating fully replaces carcinogenic Cr6 while doubling the lifetime of the tools. The return on investment in the new equipment was approximately 9 months. Thanks to this innovation, production efficiency increased significantly, and at least 20 kg of hexavalent chromium was eliminated annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aluminum Die Casting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As part of our collaboration with \u0160lechta a.s.<\/strong>, we optimized a coating for aluminum die casting. The project targeted a major supplier of aluminum components for the automotive industry. Four suppliers were invited to the final testing, which was conducted on D8 pins placed opposite the mold gate. The results clearly showed that the new coating significantly outperformed existing solutions, surpassed competing suppliers, and maintained the same production cost. Thanks to this innovation, \u0160lechta a.s. gained a new product and secured a stable customer in its portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PVD Coatings for Forming Tools<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For an industrial client, we designed and applied highly durable PVD coatings for tools used in brass forming. Each tool received a different type of coating optimized for its specific operating conditions\u2014with a focus on extending tool life, reducing friction, and eliminating the need for hard chrome plating. The result is higher production efficiency, more sustainable operation, and easier maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
